The White House has announced that US President Joe Biden and President-elect Donald Trump will meet in the Oval Office on Wednesday, reports Breaking News.
It is customary for the outgoing president and the new president to meet after the election.
However, following his loss in the 2020 election, Republican President Donald Trump did not invite Democrat Joe Biden to such a meeting, reports Breaking News.

Four years later, Mr. Trump ran for president and won this week’s election over Vice President Kamala Harris.
Since Grover Cleveland reclaimed the presidency in the 1892 election, he is the first former president to retake the presidency, reports Breaking News.
According to the White House, Mr. Biden congratulated Mr. Trump over the phone this past Wednesday and invited him to the Oval Office.
“I would direct my entire administration to work with his team to ensure a peaceful and orderly transition,” Mr. Biden said in a speech on Thursday, delivering his promise to Mr. Trump. The American people are entitled to that.
The time of their next meeting is 11 a.m. (4 p.m. GMT), reports Breaking News.
