If you think that staying inside makes you feel like you’re living in the Big Brother, spare a thought for the contestants of Big Brother Germany who found out about the coronavirus live on air.

According to the New York Times, wen the show was launched in early February, very few people had heard about the infection and the news hadn’t reached the contestants before they entered the house.

After considering the matter for a few days, the producers eventually decided that they had no choice to reveal the truth to the housemates, who were understandably very upset. They were then shown video messages from their loved ones who told them that there were well and healthy. Some family members even encouraged the contestants not to leave the house.
