Many people are saying that it’s high time the Irish government actually looks out for and after the Irish people – the ones who’ve always been living here rather that newcomers from all corners of the globe.
As around 10,000 Irish people lie homeless on the streets, doorways and hotels, the governments plans to house 200,000 Ukrainian refugees and thousands of asylum seekers from other countries in Ireland ahead of our own people has caused one reader to make an unusual suggestion.
Such is the anger by some in the Irish Community towards our politicians and their plans to put foreigners ahead of our own people for housing, one of our readers posted the following when responding to an article on Ukrainian refugees.
“All the homeless and families on the housing list, should simply leave Ireland and throw away their passports and return as refugees.”
