We have been reporting on the taking down and burning of the gay pride flags in Waterford erected by the Fine Gael Mayor of the city recently.
However, as reported on Newstalk, the Gay v Straight war continues in Waterford City as news that straight pride posters have been posted around the city reading: “Straight Pride: it’s natural, it’s worked for thousands of years and you can make babies”.
To stoke the Gay v Straight war, Minister for Children and Equality and Fine Gael TD, Roderic O’Gorman has announced that he will be visiting Waterford City to “raise the Pride flag”.
Mr O’Gorman has been invited by Waterford Green Party TD Marc Ó Cathasaigh, who said the opponents of Pride demonstrations are “small and anonymous voices” which don’t speak for Waterford.
