The BLM riots which have blighted American cities for months now may prove to have been the most expensive wave of man made carnage to have ever swept the country as insurance companies estimate the cost at between one and two billion dollars for just the first two weeks of disturbances.

Since the death of drug addicted, convicted criminal George Floyd, following his arrest by Minneapolis police a wave of protests orchestrated by the Black Lives Matter movement and other militant leftist groups have swept the US, sometimes descending into rioting, looting and arson.

According to the Insurance Information Institute, riots that broke out in 20 US states between May 26th and June 8th could have caused up to two billion dollars in damages a spokesman for the institute told Axios adding that cost could be even higher as sporadic rioting continues.

As rioting and violent disturbances continue to blight American cities President Trump has stepped up pressure on local authorities and governors to take more stringent action to protect citizens lives, safety and property.
