The body of an elderly man was found in a drain in Co. Laois on Thursday.
The body was located near the Manor Hotel, which is close to Abbeyleix Bog wildlife haven. It is believed that that the man, who was in his 80s, may have been planning to go for a walk there.
Gardai believe the man may have slipped and fallen in the drain, where he died.
