There was more good news for Irish tourism recently as the Cliff House Hotel in Ardmore in Waterford, was given the prestigious honour of being named as one of the most beautiful clifftop hotels on the planet.

The luxury resort overlooking the Irish Sea hotel was placed in the top ten of beautiful clifftop destinations in the world, by renowned travel magazine Condé Nast.

The Waterford resort’s placement is all the more impressive given the fact that it was placed in direct competition with prestigious resorts in Italy, USA, Greece, Indonesia, Oman, Jamaica, South Africa, Spain and St. Lucia.

The beautiful Cliff House was described as “one of Ireland’s most beautiful and scenic hotels, clinging to a cliff overlooking Ardmore Bay”.

“The ultramodern building’s angular slate-and-glass design is a dramatic contrast to its craggy, untamed surroundings, which makes for some Instagram-worthy photographs,” the description continued.

“Not surprisingly, each of its 39 cosy, sun-drenched rooms come with stunning bay views, but book a terrace suite for extra bragging rights.”
