UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has called Extinction Rebellion protestors “uncooperative crusties” and urged them to abandon their “hemp-smelling bivouacs” and stop blocking the streets of London.

The embattled Prime Minister who is facing off against the EU, opposition MPs and Anti-Brexit elements in his own party lashed out at the disruptive protests which are blocking traffic in London in a bid to pressure his government into taking more stringent action on climate change.

Prime Minister Johnso0n made the remarks at the launch in London of the third volume of Margaret Thatcher’s biography by the former editor of The Daily Telegraph, Charles Moore.

The protests are part of a global movement demanding governments expedite their agenda to end the use of fossil fuels so as to mitigate carbon caused climate change as well as other measures such as reducing consumption of meat.
