Both leaders of Fine Gael and Fianna Fail have declared that there is no way in which they’d be willing to enter into a government partnership with Sinn Fein.
The topic appeared to take up much of Saturday’s canvass with Fianna Fail’s Micheal Martin saying that his party would never be willing to go into government with Sinn Fein under any circumstances.
Meanwhile Fine Gael’s Leo Varadkar was forced to declare once again that his party would not go into government with Sinn Fein. The Taoiseach has been forced to say this a number of times in recent TV debates.
