Boy, 12, and two teenagers arrested in connection with petrol bomb attack in Derry




Police in the North have arrested two teenagers and a young boy following an orchestrated petrol bomb attack near polling station in Derry.

It is understood the arrests come after police came under attack in the Moss Park area of the city on Thursday evening.

Police say as many as five petrol bombs were thrown at them in what is believed to have been an organised attack.

Although there has been no reports of any injuries, officers say they seized six petrol bombs, along with 20 paint bombs and two crates of empty bottles.

They added that two teenagers aged 17, and a boy aged 12 have been arrested in connection with the incident.

The arrests come as many in the area were heading to the polls to vote in the European elections.
