A 13-year-old boy is recovering after he was impaled by a stray umbrella whilst attending a beach in Massachusetts.
According to WCVB, the young boy suffered a serious injury to his shoulder after the umbrella came out of the ground following a guest of wind at Good Harbor Beach, last Friday.
Although thankfully the teenager is expected to make a full recovery, it is reported that he sustained a serious injury that required him to have treatment at Beverly Hospital.
According to a number of eyewitness the boy was bleeding heavily and was had a hole in his arm following the incident which occurred at lunch time last Friday.
It is understood that the boy was unable to get out of the way of the umbrella as it came out of the ground at a rapid pace.
