Boy in America uses his mother’s mobile to order 70,000 lollipops to share with his friends

A woman from Kentucky found herself in a sticky situation after discovering piles of boxes filled with lollipops on her doorstep, reports Breaking News.

The unexpected shipment was placed by her young son who had been using her phone to play.

Holly LaFavers explained that she tried to cancel eight-year-old Liam’s Amazon order for nearly 70,000 Dum-Dum lollipops before they were shipped, but it was too late, reports Breaking News.

Amazon had already dropped off 22 boxes at her house.

“He told me that he wanted to have a carnival, and he was ordering the Dum-Dums as prizes for his carnival,” Ms LaFavers said, reports Breaking News.

“Again, he was being friendly, he was being kind to his friends,” reports Breaking News.

The shock intensified when she checked her bank account. She owed approximately 4,000 dollars (£3,000) for the candy.

“When I saw what the number was, I just about fainted,” Ms LaFavers said, reports Breaking News.

She later discovered that eight more cases were still missing from the order. She managed to intercept those at the post office and send them back, she said.

It took some time and effort to secure a refund, but she eventually got her money back.

“After a long day of working with the bank and talking to a few news stations Amazon called and they are refunding my money,” she said in a social media post, reports Breaking News.

Ms LaFavers mentioned she’s now adjusting settings on her phone to ensure this kind of surprise doesn’t happen again.
