A man has lost his life after his car went into the water in Co Mayo, reports Breaking News.

The incident, involving only one vehicle, occurred at Glen on Clare Island around 1pm on Tuesday.
The driver, a man in his 80s, was pronounced dead at the scene, reports Breaking News.
His remains have been taken to Mayo University Hospital, where a postmortem examination will be carried out.
A forensic collision investigator has conducted an examination of the scene.
Gardaà are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or has any relevant information to get in touch, reports Breaking News.
