Here we go, folks – the start of storm season is upon us just as lockdown takes hold and the end of Autumn is in sight.

Met Eireann has confirmed that the tail end of Hurricane Epsilon will cause very unsettled weather across Ireland for the next 36 hours.

The national forecaster has also said that it does not expect any ‘major’ weather events.

There will be heavy rain and strong winds from this evening onwards, with milder but wet weather arriving later in the week.

People are advised to stay away from cliffs and be very careful if they’re out and about and driving on B roads. People are advised to share this with their friends.
