There’s some very serious news emerging from Iran this evening that could potentially see unrest in the region.
Iran’s Revolutionary Guards have announced on national television that they’ve seized a British tanker in the strategic Strait of Hormuz for breaking “international maritime rules”.
It’s understood that President Trump is aware of what’s happening in the region.
The British government have announced that they’re seeking immediate clarification into what exactly has happened.
According to the the Guards’ official website Sepah, the Stena Impero tanker “was confiscated by the Revolutionary Guards at the request of Hormozgan Ports and Maritime Organisation when passing through the strait of Hormuz, for failing to respect international maritime rules”.
