This afternoon, a jury deliberated for just over three hours before convicting a man of murdering Lisa Thompson, a mother of two, who was strangled and stabbed to death in her own home.
According to RTE, Brian McHugh, residing at Cairn Court, Poppintree, Ballymun in Dublin 11, had entered a not guilty plea to the charge of murdering 52-year-old Ms Thompson.
