A powerful 5.8 magnitude earthquake has struck the southern Philippine island of Mindanao, according to the United States Geological Survey.
The earthquake has measured 5.8 on the Richter scale according to the USGS’ preliminary results and has struck some 17 kilometers northeast of Suyan at a depth of 74.4 km.
