It could have all been avoided had precedures been put into place just a number of a weeks ago – however Simon Harris failed to implement such measures and now the HSE is trying to chase its own tail.

It’s now understood that a female patient is in isolation with coronavirus in Belfast’s Royal Victoria Hospital is a woman who travelled through Dublin Airport on her way home to Northern Ireland from northern Italy and was accompanied by a child.

It’s believed at this stage that the child is thankfully not displaying any symptoms. They both travelled from northern Italy back to Belfast via Dublin airport.

In breaking news today however, it’s understood that the flight was an aer lingus flight and that all crew members, including the pilots have been told they must now go into self-isolation for 14 days.

They’re being monitored by medical professionals and will be put into isolation units should they develop coronavirus symptoms.
