A baby boy has died in hospital this evening after being critically injured in a two-car crash in Co Louth on Saturday evening.
The collision happened on the R132 at Dowdallshill, Dundalk.
The infant, who was a passenger in one of the vehicles, passed away at Children’s Health Ireland at Temple Street.
Gardaà are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Anyone travelling on the R132 in the Dowdallshill area between 7:50pm and 8:20pm on Saturday who has dash-cam or other footage is asked to contact investigators.
