In breaking news this morning, Northern Ireland’s First Minister Arlene Foster is going to announce today that Northern Ireland is to be placed on a lockdown circuit breaker for 4 weeks.
New measures are set to be imposed across the province starting from Friday for hospitality and other industries from Monday.
It’s understood that the circuit breaker lockdown will last for at least 4 weeks with schools closed across the province for at least 2 of the 4 weeks, possibly more.
First Minister Foster will officially announce the measures later today.
Bordering counties in the South may now see increased lockdown measures as a result.
Current restrictions on household numbers, along with Churches and gyms remaining open are set to be unchanged.
