As it stands, police say at least 10 people are dead with a further 30 injured after a vehicle drove into a crowd at New Year’s celebrations at Bourbon Street in New Orleans.
“There has been a mass casualty incident on Canal and Bourbon Street. Get yourself away from the area,” NOLA Ready, New Orleans’ emergency preparedness campaign said in a post on X.
Witnesses are saying a man drone a truck into a group of people, then got out and starting firing, with police returning fire.
