A major manhunt is underway in Barcelona following a van ploughing into a group of pedestrians on one of Barcelona’s busiest tourist streets. The incident has occurred at 4:15pm Irish time where it’s understood there are multiple causalities.
Onlookers say a van drove at speed into a crowd of people in Ramblas tourist area.
Police have told people to avoid the area that there’s an ongoing incident and for the public to stay away from the area, from bus stations and from train stations.
