Bewley’s, the legendary Grafton Street cafe, is to close its doors permanently with the loss of 110 jobs after a row over rent.
It’s understood that the coronavirus has had a major impact on the business but also huge rents that are said to be up to €1.5 million a year.
It’s believed that management have informed staff of the shop’s imminent closure and that some 110 people are now out of work permanently.
