
A body has been found at sea off the Clare coast on Sunday morning.
Gardaí were notified after the Irish Coast Guard made the discovery near Ballyvaughan in County Clare, reports The Mirror.
The Coroner has been informed, and the remains were taken to University Hospital Limerick, where a post-mortem examination will be carried out in due course.
The outcome of that examination will guide the next steps of the Garda investigation, while a Garda spokesperson confirmed that enquiries are ongoing, reports The Mirror.
They said: “Gardaí were alerted to the discovery of a body at sea off the coast of Ballyvaughan, Co. Clare this morning, Sunday, 26 October”, reports The Mirror.
