Another 136 people have died in the UK after contracting the coronavirus as cases continue to rise across the country. This is the fourth day in a row that the Department of Health and Welfare has confirmed more than 100 deaths.
Another 15,650 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases in the UK to 689,257. Today’s number is 3,330 lower than yesterday, which gives hope that infections will stabilize as recently introduced restrictions go into effect.
