The UK government have announced that ALL schools in Britain will remain open until further notice but that they may need to close at a later date, Prime Minsiter Boris Johnson has said. At a press conference on the coronavirus outbreak this evening,
Boris Johnson said: ‘We think at the moment it’s much better if we can keep schools open, for all sorts of reasons, but we also accept it’s something we need to keep under review.’
The government’s chief scientific advisor, Patrick Vallance said:
‘At some point, as we’ve said, it may be necessary to think about things like school closures. ‘But those things, again, need to be done at the right time in the right way, at the right stage of the outbreak.’
