The Department of Health have confirmed that a total of 8 people have died and 295 more cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in the Republic of Ireland.
In an announcement made this evening the Department confirmed that there are currently 2,910 confirmed cases in the Republic of Ireland and a total 54 deaths.
