The national broadcaster, RTE has announced that a member of its staff has tested positive for covid-19.
The staff member is self-isolating from home and, as directed by HSE officials, anyone who was in contact with them will now be traced back and tested.
The entire area where the person works in RTE must now be deep-cleaned.
RTE did not reveal the person’s identity.
Last Monday night, broadcaster Claire Byrne presented her show from home and was due to take a coronavirus test this week. Her show is on Monday night at 9:30pm.
