The Department for Health has confirmed that 9 people have died from coronavirus today and 522 more cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in the Republic of Ireland.`
In an announcement made this evening the Department confirmed that there are currently 222,263 confirmed cases in the Republic of Ireland and a total 4,378 deaths.
The number of patients in ICU stands at more than 133.
