BREAKING: Eight PSNI officers injured following riots in Belfast overnight

At least eight PSNI officers are receiving treatment this morning after sustaining a wide degree of injuries following overnight riots in Belfast.

Police attested a total of seven people after bricks, bottles, fireworks and glass were thrown during a riot in the Sandy Row area of the city.

It follows four nights of riots in Derry where loyalists voiced their anger at the Brexit deal by claiming that it creates a divide between Northern Ireland and the United Kingdom.

Tensions remain very high across the entire Provence as a result of the week’s riots.
