Gardaà in Co Tipperary have launched an investigation after a sustained serious head injuries at a house in Horse and Jockey in Co Tipperary.
According to The Irish Mirror newspaper, the investigation investigation has been launched after the one-year-old was rushed to hospital on Thursday.
It is understood the baby has since been transferred to a hospital in Dublin, for further treatment.
Gardai say a forensic examination of the scene is taking place.
