Met Eireann issue yellow status weather warning as heavy rainfall is expected overnight




Met Éireann have issued a yellow status weather warning as heavy rainfall is expected overnight.

The warning which applies to the West and Midlands comes as the national forecaster say some spot flooding may occur.

It is the warning will apply to all of Connacht, as well as counties Longford, Offaly, Westmeath, Cavan, Monaghan, Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick and Tipperary.

Meanwhile a snow and ice has been issued for Co Donegal.

Met Éireann say both warnings will remain in place from 9pm tonight until 12pm tomorrow afternoon.
