Gardaí are investigating the deaths of a father in his 30s and his five-year-old daughter in Dublin as a murder-suicide.
Their bodies were found in their Heathfield Terrace, Finglas home on Saturday night, with the man near the stairs and the girl in a bedroom.
The child’s mother reportedly discovered them after returning from work around 8pm, prompting a call to emergency services.
It’s understood the man was found downstairs and the girl was found in an upstairs bedroom.
The scene remains sealed for forensic examination, and the bodies were removed around midday Sunday for post-mortems, scheduled for later today.
The results will guide the ongoing investigation.
