Gardai in Co Louth have apparently made a breakthrough in the evil stabbing of a 93-yr-old man in Co Louth yesterday.
They have arrested a man aged in his 30s in connection with the stabbing and he is currently being detained and questioned in Dundalk Garda station.
The man was rushed to Our Lady Of Lourdes hospital following the attack in his home in Blackrock, Dundalk, Co. Louth.
It’s understood that the elderly man is in a very serious condition in hospital following the attack just before 3pm on Saturday.
Gardai have appealed for witnesses to come forward, particularly anyone who was in the area of Sandy Lane or the nearby Community Centre between 2pm and 3pm.
