Gardaí in Dublin have arrested a 23-year-old man at Dublin Port this afternoon in connection with the deaths of 39 migrants who were found inside a lorry container in Essex earlier this week.
According to The Irish Mirror newspaper, the 23-year-old man from Co Down was arrested by Gardai at the Port this afternoon.
The Irish Mirror reports that Gardai have impounded a blue Scania truck during the arrest.
It is expected that the arrested man will appear before Criminal Courts of Justice later today.
The latest arrest now brings the total of arrests to five as police step up their attempts to identify the victims.
