Gardaí have issued an appeal to the public for their assistance after a wheelchair belonging to a 6-year-old boy with cerebral palsy was stolen during a theft in Co Meath.
The appeal comes as Fitzgerald’s Ford Kuga family car was stolen from Ashbourne, at approximately 2:50am.
It is understood the wheelchair along with other equipment including a car seat and a walking frame were stolen as they were packed inside the car ahead of a physiotherapy session which was due to take place today.
Gardai say the white Ford Kuga registration number 182MH958 has silver alloy wheels, a blacked out window and has blue wheelchair stickers at the front and back of the vehicle.
They are urging anyone with information to come forward and contact them immediately.
