A woman in her 50s has passed away after encountering trouble while swimming at Gleann Cholm Cille in County Donegal, reports RTE.
Gardaà were notified of the incident shortly after 7pm yesterday evening, following the woman’s recovery from the water.
She was airlifted to Sligo University Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead, reports RTE.
A post-mortem examination is scheduled, and a file will be compiled for the coroner.
Investigations are ongoing, according to gardaÃ, reports RTE.
