It’s come to light late on Sunday night that the government are provisionally looking to sign off on “Level 4 plus” restrictions on Monday afternoon for three to four weeks.
NPHET’s recommendations was for Level 5 for six weeks.
It’s understood that “Level 4 plus” would mean only essential retail could stay open only with hairdressers and barber shops to close once more.
Pubs and restaurants would close with takeaways services in place where it’s acceptable.
All sporting fixtures would cease, except for elite sporting fixtures.
It’s not yet known if they government plan on these measures for three or four weeks but it’s understood that the government will not be going to Level 5 as recommended by NPHET.
