In a very candid interview on the Late Late Show in April 2018, Laura Brennan spoke about horrific diagnosis of having terminal cancer.
Initially diagnosed with cervical cancer, the campaigner urged women to get the HPV – even though it’s been well documented worldwide as being somewhat controversial with many parents denying their children receive the vaccine.
However, Laura Brennan was adamant young women should get the vaccine, even though many feel it’s extremely dangerous.
She beat cancer but tragically it came back and is terminal with a diagnosis of 2 to 5 years – but that didn’t stop the woman from “having the craic” and “enjoying her life”.
It’s been confirmed this evening that the young woman has sadly passed away aged 26.
Regardless of your thoughts on the HPV vaccine, Laura Brennan was exceptionally inspirational and a very positive and genuine role model for people young and old. May she rest in peace.
