In what can only be described as truly shocking, the country looks likely to be fully locked down again from St Stephen’s Day.
It’s understood tonight that the Chief Medical Officer Dr Tony Holohan has advised the government that he wants a full level 5 lockdown once again immediately from St Stephen’s Day.
A full Cabinet meeting will take place tomorrow with the government deciding whether or not we’re going into a full lockdown again, possibly schools closing again. Nothing is definite but it’s now looking very likely that the government are going to introduce very strict restrictions once again.
The Cabinet and sub committee met tonight and for the first time, it’s understood that they’re contemplating on whether or not schools will remain open after Christmas.
