There was reportedly some chaotic scenes at Heathrow Airport in the UK this evening as hundreds of people were seen trying to gain access to the last flight to Dublin.
According to The Daily Mail, queues formed at London’s busiest airport in order to gain access to an Aer Lingus flight at 10:30pm.
The Daily Mail reports that the flight was given the green light by the Irish Government which is scheduled to land before a 48 travel ban to and from the region.
The news has caused a mixed reaction on Twitter with many calling on those in the city not to take the flight in order halt a potential spread of a new strain of the virus.
