BREAKING: Irish Water issue Boil Water Notice for after a burst pipe affects water flow

Irish Water and Cork County Council have announced a boiling water recommendation for the area served by Whitegate’s regional public water supply.

The announcement, which affects close to 6,500 people, refers to the regions of Whitegate, Aghada, Saleen, Cloyne and Ballycotton.

It was issued due to a problem with the filtration process that resulted from the bursting of a pipe at the facilities of the Kilva water treatment plant.

All Whitegate Regional Public Water Supply customers are advised to boil the water before using it while the problem is resolved. People are advised to share this information with their friends.
