The Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has been forced to pull out of election events due to illness.
Varadkar was due to do a canvass with Dublin North-West candidate Noel Rock in Santry but that event has been cancelled, presumably much to the disappointment of Rock whose seat is no doubt under major threat given the amount of candidates in the constituency.
It’s believed that Varadkar some sort of stomach bug but is due to continue canvassing when he is feeling better.
The Independent reports that Varadkar is due to be on Newstalk after 6pm with Ivan Yates after it was previously cancelled.
