Police have confirmed that two people have been killed in Barcelona after a white transit van mounted the pavement and ploughed into a group of pedestrians.
However local media are claiming that at least 13 people are now dead from the terrorist attack.
Local media are also reporting that two armed men have entered a restaurant and have machine guns. This has not been confirmed but police have said that it’s a terrorist attack and that the occupants of the van fled on foot.
It’s understood that one of the men in holed up in the restaurant is the driver of the van.
