BREAKING: Lockdown part 2 – “Government to move to Level 5 restrictions for six weeks”




It’s come to light this evening that the government is now planning on moving the country to Level 5 restrictions for six weeks but with a softer approach.

NPHET’s recommendations was for Level 5 for six weeks.

It’s understood that an easing of the original Lockdown would mean all retail will close once more including hairdressers and barber shops.

Pubs and restaurants will also close.

A distance of 15km is being discussed as opposed to the original 5km barrier from your home.

All sporting fixtures would cease, except for elite sporting fixtures. The Irish Times is reporting that we are now moving into Level 5. Schools and creches are to remain open.

Micheal Martin is going to make an announcement at 9pm.
