In an announcement the Department also confirmed 0 further Covid-19 related deaths.
The latest figures now brings the overall case total to 50,093. Meanwhile the overall death toll stands at 1,852.
Micheal Martin is due to announce Level 5 restrictions at 9pm tonight.
