Tragically more people have been killed on the roads today after a man and a woman were killed in a road crash in the capital this morning.
The incident happened on the Drumcondra Road at the junction of Hollybank Road, at around 6.30am with gardai just confirming the deaths. Two cars were involved, and both drivers, a man in his 60s and a woman in her 30s, died at the scene.
There are heavy delays in the area, so motorists are advised to avoid it if at all possible as the main part of Drumcondra is closed off with bus routes being diverted.
