In what many people on social media are calling a “police State”, gardai arrested a man yesterday for allegedly not wearing a mask in a supermarket and refusing to give his name.
The 47-yr-old man was taken into custody following an incident in Pettitt’s supermarket in Wexford on Sunday evening.
He was accused of not wearing a mask and allegedly wouldn’t tell gardai his name or address when they arrived.
That took him into custody overnight with a file given to the DPP.
The man is about to appear in Wexford’s District Court for a hearing on two counts, not wearing a mask, and not giving his name and address to gardai.
