BREAKING: Met Eireann advise motorists to take extreme care as frost and freezing fog is widespread




 

The national weather forecaster has advised that motorists take extreme care while driving overnight and tomorrow morning.

People are advised to take extreme care while on the roads as black ice has been forecast to potentially be lying on roads – in particular on B roads across the country.

The advice comes after Met Eireann issued ice and possibly sleet weather warnings for for much of Leinster and Munster.

Met Éireann say the warning which came into effect at midnight and will remain in place until midday on Monday.

The national forecaster say frost and icy patches could occur on lower ground.

People have been advised to share this information with their friends, especially those who will be driving overnight or tomorrow morning.
