Ireland may just be recovering from the rampaging Storm Jorge, but Met Eireann has released a status yellow weather alert for the entire country.
The snow and ice warning is in effect until at least 8am on Monday morning.
It’s understood that showers will severely affect western counties, increasingly falling as sleet, or possibly snow in a number of places.
Black ice will be prevalent, especially on B roads with the possibility of snow in higher lying grounds. Temperatures will hover around zero throughout the week.
